Info On Replacing The Cartomiser In A ECig

Clearomisers have received great reviews among users of electronic cigarettes. They are said to give the best flavor and are smooth on the throat. If you have just started using them or if you think you have been replacing them too often you might be wondering, when do you need to replace a clearomiser?

This would depend very much on the make of the clearomiser. Some will last longer than others depending on how they are made. They only really need to be replaced when you start to notice leakage, blockage or cracking on the outside.

Clearomisers can be used on just about any make of electronic cigarette or lavatube mod. They are basically an atomizer (atty) and tank in one and are designed to be refillable. Unlike cartomizers there is no wadding in the reservoir and it can be clearly seen how much liquid is left.

The e-liquid is drawn into the atomizer by one or more wicks giving a smooth and constant feed. The bigger these are the better they will work and the longer they will last. They might need to be fluffed out if there is too much liquid running through and the whole assembly can be taken apart for maintenance and cleaning.

At the end where the mouthpiece fits on there will be two small holes on either side of the atomizer coils. This is where the liquid is refilled using a flexible needle. This is one place which can wear out and careful refilling will also ensure longer usage.

Each unit can be refilled at least 10 or 15 times. Newer makes have thicker clear plastic tubes that will be less prone to cracking than the old ones. If they are cleaned out they can still be re-used a number of times.

Better quality items will also have thicker wicks so that the fluid will flow better they will also be less prone to blockage. It is possible to take the basic components apart and clean them with water if this does become a problem. Before refilling them remember to make sure that they are properly dry first.

When you replace the battery at the back, take care and rotate the screw and not the tube. This will reduce wear. If the liquid is left in the electronic cigarette for more than a week it should also be replaced. If the e-liquid is left to dry it will become thick and sticky.

Drying the e-liquid out can have its advantages though. E-liquids are often more viscous than they need to be and the extra liquid doesn’t always help. If the liquid is thinker it can give a much better flavor and reduce unwanted after tastes. This can be achieved by steeping, or allowing the e-liquid to dry out a little.

It is not always beneficial and some strong tastes like Cuban cigar might become too intense but it is always worth trying out. Simply leave the cap and pouring spout off the bottle for a few days and shake it up at least once a day. When using both steeping and a clearomiser you are guaranteed of the best taste available from an electronic cigarette.
